First of all gangs been around a wile now. Nowadays there every were from the big cities to small towns. Now a days allot of young people are being accused of being gang members or being affiliated with a gang, but allot are not in gangs there just trying to blend in .I bet if you were to see me walking the street you would think IM a gang member. Why? Because there are a lot of stereo types out there. Don't walk around thinking every kid wearing baggy pants sporting a letter on their belt buckle is a gangster they might be the nicest people you ever met. I understand why people stereo type its because law enforcement, teachers, principles, and adults not all , but allot label teens that wear baggy clothes beanies belt buckles with there initial on it, penaltons, Ben Davis Dickies, Frisco Ben's, BD county, solos, brand clothing as gang members.
COMMUNITY GANG INTERVENTION.
It only takes one person
to organize a neighborhood around gang opposition:
* pass out the agenda after the residents have congregated.
* allow a short time for the participants to relate their fears and war stories, and then return to the agenda.
* no weapons should be carried by any of the marchers.
* ask the local police to accompany the assemblage.
* allow children along. Ten year olds know all of the gang members in the hood.
* create a chant for the marchers. This will help them focus.
* include local politicians in the march.
* march repeatedly during the day and/or the night.
* night marchers should carry flashlights.
* surround the confrontationists and shout your chant. This will drown out anything that is being said by them.
* under no circumstances should physical contest occur.
* do not expose yourself when taking the movies.
* the D.A. may asked you to affirm the videos if formal charges are made.
Law-abiding community residents, who knowingly allow gang activity to flourish, may be guilty of consenting to gang violence and could thereby be viewed as accomplices.
